Yes. Sometimes I feel like I must hurry now to do 'life' things: babies, career, etc. My parents must think their life in this system sucks, because it keeps going on and on. . .they are afraid to die. They must be disappointed that the end hasn't come yet, they thought they'd be 'livin forever' by now!!!

by AK - Jeff inin post-jw life, it seems to me that acceptance of this basic fact of life, the reality that we will die, is a healthy thing to do.
yet, i believe that most jw's cling to a hope that armageddon will spare them death, even when they see death at the doors.
they have never prepared themselves for the reality, and when it becomes inevitable, the pain of that realization must be intense for some of them.

We had Christmas with my sister and her two daughters, just 1 of 3 of my sisters that is OUT of the evil cult!! Yay! We had a blast, her girls are 9 & 12 and sweet and smart and funny. We had a ball. It was our first Christmas together in 36 years, our first as adults. It was just a delight. I'm gonna cry.
I keep thinking about how our Pioneer/Elder parents have scorned/criticized/scolded her for getting divorced from her abusive husband when she needed them most. I think about when the girls will return to Arizona to their evil jw father, and that they'll likely be persecuted/punished by dad, by the witlesses and jw relatives for celebrating Xmas. I think about how our parents IGNORE the girls and my other nieces and nephews who are not jws anymore. And I think about the joy we had being together for one special day, just one day to fuss over our loved ones and eat and laugh and enjoy music and eat some more and to count our years by Christmases and it makes me smile. . .and how jws choose to NOT be happy, to not have this joy, to not feel this love. . .to put all their energy into directing their god-given hate at children!. . .and I know they won't listen, they won't change, they won't let go their obsession with Watchtower, they won't allow themselves to just BE. . .our parents, our friends, our sisters, our brothers, our anything. . .and we miss them, but they're just gone. . .
And I'm furious.

JW family doesn't see me, but got together with my ex....WTF!!!!
by babygirl75 injust need to vent.... over the weekend, i let my 9yr old son go visit his dad and then he had to be back home to spend x-mas eve & x-mas day with me.
so anyway...i call to talk to my son on his cell and he tells me he is at a friend's house playing with his two cousins.
now the two cousins are my sister's kids and they live in atlanta.

My only sister that is OUT of JWs told me that our parents called her X and told him they were sorry-that he was right about her all along and that he has their support. But she was the one who was abused for 27 yrs by him.
They are rotten and hateful, all of them.

My mother and my brother.
They both have the same extremes, they both have accused loved ones/fabricated HORRIBLE stories that they imagined to be completely true (hence the reason my husband and I moved from AZ years ago, we grew more and more afraid of my brother). They both think they were dispatched by God Himself to be here, just so we can all benefit from having them near. They have a special understanding of 'the troof' that others do not.
Neither of them has ever asked forgiveness for anything, neither of them has ever offended another human.
They have both gone unmedicated forever. They are a treat.

Disfellowshipped
by LadyCCC iniam now as what was announced at a recent meeting that iam "no longer a jehovah's witness" all of my family and friends are witnesses so this will ailenate me from all of my friends and family.
but i feel like i don't want to go back.
i really hate the feeling of isolation and shamefulness while iam sitting in the meeting, what's the point of it all.

More tricks and slight of hand they use to keep you in line, and now we're scared? That will go away. We have life now, be grateful for it. Whatever you DECIDE to believe about what comes next, be grateful for your life and be happy.
I had armageddon nightmares for a couple of years after we quit, it was so ingrained in me-afterall I taught it to people for more than half my life. JWs say that hellfire is a doctrine designed to keep people scared and Catholic, but they themselves pull the same crap and worse on the flock.
JWs say the elders are different than a paid clergy and are just our brothers, HELL YEAH they're just like my drunken bi-polar brother.
Congratulations on being 'Fellowshipped', you'll find in time that it is the best thing that could happen to you.
